Make your mark for patients We are looking for a Senior Scientist to join us in our Inflammatory Rheumatology team, based in our R&D site in Slough, UK. About the role The successful candidate will have experience running in-vivo models of rheumatic diseases and a strong background in either immunology, inflammation, or tissue regeneration. Who you'll work with You will join a multi-disciplinary team developing novel therapeutics for patients suffering with inflammatory joint diseases. What you'll do To design and execute the strategy of in vivo pharmacology studies associated with projects. To work independently to identify, introduce, develop and apply the necessary techniques to achieve the goals of the project. To collaborate internally and externally. To demonstrate scientific rigor and excellence. To comply with Health & Safety regulations and to ensure the research is carried out in accordance with good practice and in compliance with local policies and legal requirements. To comply with HTA regulations. To comply with home office licencing requirements. I nterested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills Qualifications Ph D in Immunology or a related discipline and significant postdoctoral experience in academia, biotech or pharma (>2yrs post-doc). Current home office personal licence (PIL) holder. Essential requirements/competencies Expertise in models of inflammatory joint diseases such as collagen-induced arthritis or similar. Knowledge of rheumatic diseases in patients and understanding of translational concepts. Experience with immunohistochemistry, imaging techniques, flow cytometry, and ex-vivo analysis. In-vitro cell culture and molecular biology techniques (m RNA and protein analyses). Experience running sc RNAseq or spatial transcriptomic studies would be advantageous.
