Would you like your expertise to deliver critical data and science across a diverse portfolio of small and large molecule drug discovery projects? Charles River Discovery are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Scientist/Associate Principal Scientist : Protein Sciencesto join our Structural Biology team based at our site in Saffron Walden. The Senior Scientist/Associate Principal Scientist will, as part of a multidisciplinary team be responsible for all aspects of protein production, characterisation and crystallisation that supports projects across the small and large molecule space. You'll collaborate with various project teams closely, delivering critical data to clients that will help to drive progress. This role is lab: based, and delivery focused, requiring strong problem: solving skills and project management abilities. What you'll be doing: - Rational design and engineering of recombinant protein domains for soluble expression from a wide range of target classes for all down: stream functions (i. e biochemical and biophysical assay development and screening, HTS, antibody formatting, in vivo studies, structural biology)- Expression of target recombinant proteins across both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems (secreted and intracellular)- Design and execution of bespoke.
