The Senior Program Manager supports the Executive Director of the Center on Human Trafficking & Slavery at United Way Worldwide and will be responsible for developing and implementing regional and national community impact strategies that mobilize communities to combat human trafficking. This position is a grant funded position, which will be reviewed on a yearly basis.The Manager will be responsible for designing and delivering programs, products, tools, and resources to help local United Ways mobilize individuals and organizations in their community to combat human trafficking, including management of the organization’s signature grant program to combat human trafficking. The Manager should be familiar with the design and delivery of anti-human trafficking programs for both sex and labor trafficking at the community level, including how such programs are evaluated for effectiveness.The Manager will work in coordination with other teams across United Way Worldwide and with United Ways across the U.S. Network. This position is generally responsible for the overall delivery of assigned work projects within United Way Worldwide’s Impact team, with a focus on human trafficking. The Manager will participate in the development of team action plans, work processes and systems. Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties of Position: An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level: Manage United Way Worldwide (UWW) grant program to develop comprehensive, community-level anti-trafficking programs, which includes developing criteria to select grantees, managing the selection process, drafting grant agreements, facilitating payments to grantees, and monitoring progress against objectives Develop infrastructure to support and evaluate impact of community level grants Connect local United Ways to national and local anti-trafficking experts that can provide guidance as United Ways develop comprehensive strategies to combat human trafficking Develop and maintain relationships with local anti-trafficking groups, especially survivor-led organizations, to connect with local United Way infrastructure Partner with local United Ways to conduct community-based human trafficking trainings; adapt training materials for use with corporate partners Support the Executive Director in developing additional anti-trafficking programs and strategies that local United Ways can execute which provide impact and growth Develop and implement communications strategy to better inform United Way network and other stakeholders of the Center’s anti-trafficking efforts Assist the Executive Director in developing fundraising strategies and tools for United Way’s anti-trafficking work Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Minimum requirements include: Bachelor’s degree 5 or more years of experience in the anti-trafficking field; work with survivors or survivor-led organizations desirable Understanding of the anti-trafficking field, including intricacies of both labor and sex trafficking in the United States Experience managing grants to anti-trafficking or other similar nonprofits Understanding of United Way and role of local United Ways at the community level This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
