This position is with a leading independent safety, environment and engineering consultancy. We are seeking to recruit senior and principal level process safety engineers to join our growing team, to help in the delivery of a diverse range of technical safety studies for our wide-ranging client base. Education and Experience Honours or Masters' Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Applicants with a post-graduate MSc in Safety & Risk Management or Safety, Risk & Reliability Engineering will also be considered for the role. Membership (associate or above) of a related professional institute such as the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChem E) or an equivalent body. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Process Safety Engineer (PEng) status would be advantageous. Full U. K. driving licence and clean driver record. The following skills and experience are desirable: Previous experience, preferably in a consulting role, of applying process safety principles within chemical / industrial / high-hazard environments. The co-ordination and leadership of DSEAR/ATEX hazardous area classification and risk backssments. Demonstrable experience in COMAH legislation and associated compliance requirements. Prior experience of the preparation of COMAH safety reports, hazardous substance consent applications, major accident prevention policies and ALARP justifications would be advantageous. .
