Our client is a successful Main Contractor with significant projects and schemes across Yorkshire, looking to add to their Planning team due to their steady pipeline moving towards the end of the year. Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project objectives, and contractual obligations. Collaborate closely with the project team, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to establish project timelines and deliverables. Conduct in: depth analysis of project scope, identifying critical path activities, dependencies, and potential risks or delays. Implement effective resource allocation strategies, considering manpower, materials, and equipment requirements. Monitor project progress, track actual versus planned performance, and proactively address any deviations from the schedule. Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks, utilising problem: solving skills to maintain project momentum. Prepare regular reports, presenting project status updates, key metrics, and forecasted milestones to the project stakeholders. Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision: making processes by providing valuable insights and recommendations. Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in planning methodologies to enhance project efficiency and delivery. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus. Proven experience as a Senior Planner, preferably within a main contractor environment, managing Commercial projects. Proficient in using industry: leading planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools. Sound knowledge of construction. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
