We are certified as a 'Best Christian Workplace' by BCWI, a national institute that consults faith-based organizations. We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee our Operations. The Senior Operations Manager leads and manages the Donation Center, Food Pantry, Facilities, Transportation, and Food Services functions. Ensures that all functions are aligned with Light of Life strategic priorities , in compliance with operational standards, and reflective of our values . JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Create, review, and provide feedback on the Operations strategy and budget . R evise plans as needed. Exercises final approval/veto authority over the staffing and standards of the Food Services, Transportation, Facilities , Food Pantry and the D onation Center . I mplement s annual objectives that fit into the overall strategy of Light of Life . Exercises final approval over the organization's risk management Oversees the implementation of risk aversion practices that will promote a safe environment . Oversees the project management of building projects . Raises funds that reduce costs through bartering services like GreenApple Provides input on issues that affect any of the buildings and their safety . Develops and supports the department's st aff , serv ing as back-up , when necessary. Exercises communication authority over Operations . Due to the interface with the clients, all jobs at Light of Life require employees to: Walk alongside co-workers and clients as a disciple of Christ and share the Gospel through actions and words. Establish mutual trust and create a safe, authentic environment. Resolve all issues in ways that promote the principles of Light of Life . Exhibit love for Jesus Christ, the staff, and the clients. Practice e ffective stewardship of all resources. Model personal responsibility, accountability, timely reporting, and a growth-oriented lifestyle COMPETENCIES Conflict management Negotiation Team Building Delegation Influencing and leading Decision-making ability Planning and organizing Critical thinking and problem-solving skills EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in liberal arts or business, management curriculum preferred. Experienced manager with over 10 years of demonstrated management ability. Experience in nonprofit operations management preferred.
