Senior Operational Excellence Leader

Accountabilities: In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the site's Operational Excellence (OE) strategy. You will apply strategic thinking, leadership and project management skills to identify and achieve significant process/quality improvements through OE initiatives aligned to the site strategy. You will develop technical solutions to advanced problems which require the regular use of resourcefulness and creativity. You will also be an encouragement to others by nurturing Lean thinking and standards while providing expert training, advice, and mentoring to all levels at the Frederick site and take shared accountability for business results.Essential Skills/Experience:- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field- Six Sigma Black Belt certification required- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in the application of Lean tools and techniques: standardized work, scientific problem solving, kaizen, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, SMED, level loading demand- Must have worked as a Six Sigma Black Belt for a minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment with formal training and experience applying Lean methods as a DMAIC Six Sigma Black Belt level- Candidate must have an excellent solid understanding of the principles and philosophies of analytical problem-solving techniques along with a demonstrated track record of achievement- Strong level of DMAIC and/or Lean tools and methodology knowledge required- Advanced user of Minitab or similar, Microsoft Visio and Project- Solid Business Acumen- Strong Project Management Skills- Strong exposure to the Toyota Way, Toyota Production System (TPS) and Lean Transformation methodsDesirable Skills/Experience:- MBA or equivalent work experience preferred- Healthcare, pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience preferred- Experience with Human and Organizational Performance principals- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance approachWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we ignite ambitious thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
