Description:
This position is responsible for repair and maintenance of all golf course equipment in a proper and timely manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain the maintenance facility, inside and out, in a clean and safe condition for an efficient and safe work environment for mechanics and all staff so as to meet OSHA, DHEC, and Town of Hilton Head Fire Department Order parts and materials needed to repair equipment in accordance with financial procedures dictated by the Manager, Equipment Maintenance. Schedule work load in a priority manner of importance. Priority will be decided with Golf Course Superintendent, along with the Manager of Equipment Maintenance. Record and document all work performed on equipment in an orderly arrangement so as to be able to file in a filing system. Be responsible for inventory of parts, tools and materials used within the golf maintenance shop facility. Maintain gas and fuel tanks. Ensure that equipment maintenance is provided on weekends and holidays. Ensure that all safety devices are in place and in operation. Responsible for small engine repair: flymo and weedeaters. Ensure that all reels are sharpened and properly maintained as directed by the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. Work whatever hours are necessary to properly maintain equipment for every-day tasks.
