The AstraZeneca Mt. Vernon site was established in 1972 and is the flagship site delivering innovative, life changing oral solid medicines. At the site we formulate and pack OSD tablets and capsules for over 60+ markets. The Mt Vernon site is complex, the largest AZ production site in the US with over 700+ employees. Are you ready to take on a role that lets you use your multi-craft maintenance skills to ensure production and facility equipment operates efficiently and in compliance with FDA requirements?As a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be at the heart of our operations, making a significant contribution to life-changing medicines. Shift 1/2nd Rotating Every 2 Weeks. 2 weeks 6am-2:30pm/ 2 weeks 2pm- 10:30 PM Accountabilities: In this role, you'll perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, use analytical troubleshooting skills to identify and solve equipment problems, and work with a diverse team to improve equipment and production efficiencies. You'll also provide training to other mechanics and operators, document your work in compliance with SOP's, SHE standards, and GMPs, and respond to multiple equipment/production problems as needed. Your ability to adapt and flex will be key as you navigate the challenges of this role. Essential Skills/Experience: - High School Diploma or GED- 5+ years experience in a pharmaceutical production environment or 8+ years as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial production environment Desirable Skills/Experience: - AAS in an Engineering Technology- Understanding and operational familiarity with PC/PLC control systems- Pharmaceutical/cGMP maintenance training and experience- Facilities and utilities equipment maintenance experience including HVAC, boilers, air compressors, purified water, and electrical distribution systems- Material Handling equipment maintenance experience including automated cranes, conveyers, sorting systems, and forkliftsAt AstraZeneca, we're more than just a global pharmaceutical company - we're a community dedicated to improving the lives of people everywhere.
