Job Description: Arcadia University is looking for the next creative visionary for our team. Our next Senior Designer is an integral member who works in a highly-collaborative environment and encourages generating new ideas to elevate the Arcadia brand. This position manages projects from concept development and project management to design and production. The Senior Designer will be responsible for the day-to-day intake and delivery of creative assignments from various stakeholders. They will be responsible for prioritizing multiple, simultaneous projects-many of which can be complex-ensuring the timely delivery of branded assets. The ideal candidate will be an empowered self-starter with excellent time management skills, experience in concepts, and expertise in print and digital design, video, and animation is a plus. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite is required. Adobe After Effects and Premiere are a plus. Experience Art Directing Photo and Video Shoots a plus. Location: Glenside Responsibilities : Manage the brand identity of Arcadia University. Ability to maintain high standards and general application of the University's brand identity, including elements of its sub-brands. Strict attention to detail. Develop visual solutions for campaigns across units with different target audiences and marketing channels. Design from concept through completion projects for print and digital platforms, including publications and reports, advertising, website, brochures, posters, flyers, emails, social media, directional signage, displays, and presentations. Creative problem-solving skills and organizational ability to meet production cycles of multiple projects and tight deadlines. Contribute as a creative professional and strategic partner by participating in brainstorming sessions with clients and teams. Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and deliver across multiple projects on tight deadlines. Coordinate digital asset management system (DAM) for all photography and videography, including tagging and taxonomy system, photo editing, and metadata. Manage printers and external vendors, including price negotiations, managing press proofs, delivery, and fulfillment coordination. Manage and mentor student workers. Assist other department needed to promote team efforts and support University initiatives. Be an active and positive member of the Arcadia community and team member, contributing to team meetings with energy. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and knowledge about diversity, equity, and inclusion and embrace opportunities for continued growth in cultural competence. Other Duties: Contribute to the overall success of Marketing and Communications by helping manage events and MarComm responsibilities, including occasional evenings or weekends. Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Design or related field preferred 2-4 years of experience of design experience Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office products Familiarity with video editing and animation software, such as Premiere and After Effects, preferred Excellent independent project and time management skills with the ability to work well in a team. Extensive knowledge of various design areas, including layout, illustration, interactive media, photography, videography, and video editing.
