Position The Finance department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Senior Financial Analyst . This is a full-time, exempt position in the Sandy, Utah headquarters office. This position is open to internal and external candidates. Responsibilities The Senior Financial Analyst has a variety of responsibilities that support WCF's overall actuarial functions. Those responsibilities include: Prepare and communicate financial results, critical financial analysis, and insight to business leaders. Develop premium, staffing and other financial models to support our corporate strategy. Provide financial analysis, interpretation of data and recommendations to management. Evaluate premium production sources and profitability. Understand loss, pricing, and other trends and provide recommendation to management. Preparation of the company's annual operating plan and multi-year forecast. Evaluate and interpret budget to actual variances and provide advice to management. Prepare financial forecast and proforma projections. Work effectively independently and collaboratively with others. Commitment to see projects through to completion. Engage in regular, innovative process improvement initiatives across the organization. Supporting training and development of less experienced team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance; master's degree preferred. Professional certification as a CPA, CMA, CFA, or AIAF preferred. At least five years of related work experience. General knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting practices and procedures. Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Analytical thinker and ability to problem solve, with acute attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability balanced with sound business judgment. Ability to adapt and thrive with change and complexity. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines. A high sense of urgency and ability to prioritize. Strong data visualization, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell a story and transform data into clear, digestible information for various audiences. An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, have acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
