A board of elders provides ministry and governance oversight. Our website is calvary-church.com.THE LEADERSHIP STRUCTUREThe Board of Elders governs Calvary Church. This Board includes lay elders and the Senior Leaders of the church. The Senior Leaders are chaired by the Senior Executive Leader who is the primary report to and voting member of the Elder Board. The Senior Leaders oversee the Executive Team of key ministry leaders who, in turn, provide oversight for the Directors, Coordinators and remaining staff members.THE POSITIONThe Senior Executive Leader is responsible for the overall strategic and visionary leadership of the Church. The Senior Executive Leader ensures clarity in roles, communication, clear processes, and united efforts to achieve the mission and vision of Calvary Church.Specific Responsibilities Overall Leadership and Oversight Chair meetings of the Senior Leaders Coordinate the roles and ministry of other Senior Pastors. Lead Senior Leadership and Executive Team meetings. Guide the implementation of and reporting of Elder initiatives and directives. Administration/Office Management Oversee Facilities Management and Maintenance, including Campus Services Oversee finance, including budget planning, compliance, and reporting. Oversee calendar planning and management. Human Resources Staffing plan and allocation of scope to achieve strategic and tactical goals. Team training, development, and coordination Personnel management/benefits Recruitment/Compensation Organizational Chart Job Descriptions Performance Management of staff and volunteers Strategic Planning and Implementation Execution of the ministry plan in collaboration with other Pastors and Elders Strategic Planning Process, Implementation, Measures and Tracking Project Management of strategic initiatives Ministry Responsibilities Collaborate with the other SLT members in the spiritual care of the congregation. As an SLT member, the Senior Executive Leader may be asked to visit congregants, perform weddings, perform funerals, provide Friday coverage for congregants, lead communion, perform baptisms, teach membership classes, and other similar tasks. Commit to actively praying for the congregation of Calvary Church. Adjunct Ministry Oversight BuxMont Counseling Center Café and other “business” ministries A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful Lead Pastor will possess the following: Essential A vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ Exemplary character Full alignment with the Statement of Faith, mission, values, and Leadership Covenant of Calvary Church Past senior level leadership experience in a church. Strong communication skills, including demonstrated ability to teach and apply Scripture. Exceptional relational skills and high level of emotional intelligence Demonstrated operational and Lead skills within a larger church environment. Proven experience at building teams and leading change Ability to facilitate collaborative environments. Proven gifts of organizational development and staff supervision. Highly Preferred Experience in large church (+1,000 congregants) Seminary education OUR LOCATIONLocated in Hilltown Township, PA (Bucks County), we are twelve miles from the beautiful county seat of Doylestown, and approximately thirty miles from Center City Philadelphia.
