The Estimating group serves a vital role in CEI's PM, teaching estimating skills to future and newly hired project management team members.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Estimator supports the project managementteam achieve its goals by delivering high quality estimates on time.The Senior Estimatoris in charge ofdeveloping andcompleting project specific estimates based on written and/or oral discretion from Project Managers. The ideal candidate will supervise and direct the Estimating team on the timely completion of electrical estimates. This role will provide leadership to team members including Estimators, Estimator Trainees, and others, and lead estimating system training. This position will report directly to the Assistant Chief Estimator.Responsibilities will include: Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work. May create,maintainand upgrade the company estimating system, database (units and prices) and assemblies. Communicate and partner with project managers and general contractors to ensure a high-quality estimate is delivered on time. Manage quotation process with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that pricing incorporates all scope items. ABOUT YOUYoubring over seven years of experience in electrical estimating. Your skillset includes proven verbal and written communication skills, and you have an eye for detail ensuring accuracy in the work that you do. You are a collaborative team player; willing to help others, your team, and the organization reach its goals.WHAT YOU WILL GAINHere at Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI), we are problem-solvers. While you may direct and manage the Estimating team in estimate completions, youhave the opportunity toprovide training and leadership development to your peers and team members.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.Education:High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS preferred.Licensure/Certifications:None required.Experience:Seven (7) years of experience required of electrical estimating experience in commercial/industrial/high tech industry. 5 years' experience with a design/build contractor.*Applicants must be authorized toworkin the United States.
