Triton Systems is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Composites Engineer with an interest in innovative research and development and a desire to create and transition exciting new technologies to market. Triton's diverse set of projects will give you experience across the product development cycle and allow you to shine in a fast-paced environment. The Structures group focuses on several technology areas including strategic application of composite materials, metal additive manufacturing, process modeling and simulation, and advanced materials engineering Responsibilities: Project management and technical leadership Presentation of results to customers (written and oral) Supervision and development of new technologies through research and development Business development through customer relationships and proposal writing Management of external partners and suppliers Recognizing and solving complex problems Project level ideation and technical development Qualifications: Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals Experience using FEA or Multiphysics analysis software Experience in modeling fluids and flow, solids and heat transfer Hands-on experimental and fabrication experience Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods for polymer composites Familiarity with solid modeling, Solidworks preferred Experience with proposal writing for federal agencies Education/Experience: BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Advanced degree is a plus. 10+ years of experience working in polymer composites. Ability to execute structural engineering and design of composite materials Knowledge of matrix resin chemistries Experience managing technical teams and directing projects Experience with government programs is desired Experience in modeling is highly desired (fluids and heat transfer). Composites manufacturing experience in autoclave/prepreg, resin infusion and winding technologies. FEA experience with Comsol, NASTRAN and ANYSYS.
