Job Title: Senior Ecologist Salary: GBP35,000 : GBP42,000 Location: Oxford Penguin Recruitment have partnered with a small consultancy in Oxford who are looking for a Senior Ecologist. The consultancy was nominated for CIEEMs best small consultancy and pride themselves on being a extremely supportive place to work. They give their Senior Ecologists autonomy to deliver projects themselves. Main duties involve completing PEAs, Biodiversity Impact backssments, protected and priority species surveys, preparing quotations and tenders, Ecological Impact backssment and other backssments. Its a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Ecologist who wants to hone their skills in an area of interest. In return you will get the following as a Senior Ecologist: Professional memberships paid for Unlimited in: house and external training budget Colleague nominated bonus scheme Generous pension Unlimited annual leave and flexible approach to work time To be considered you will need: Genuine and demonstrable enthusiasm for ecology and the environment Experience of habitat surveys (UK Habs) and/or protected species surveys Good report writing skills Motivated to work both independently and as part of a team, often in remote locations and during unsociable hours Good communication skills both with colleagues, clients and third parties Comfortable designing surveys Full driving licence and use of a car Hold membership with CIEEM Hold one or more protected species licences.
