Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services and our team is focused on delivering high quality infrastructure to support cloud operations. As Microsoft's Cloud business continues to mature, our infrastructure expansion accelerates, and Datacenters are central to this growth. To support this, the acquisition and development of our owned, designed, and constructed Datacenter facilities will scale to meet the demands of our customers, while we also continue to lease and acquire Datacenter capacity at pace, particularly in our high growth markets, working closely with Datacenter operators in each region, and across the Globe.We are looking to fill the role of Senior Director of Strategic Operations & Planning . The person in this role will direct all aspects of business operations to support our operational & financial goals. Working closely with the leadership team, the role will establish and orchestrate effective global and executive governance, identify opportunities to improve our business performance, and develop cross functional alignment to proactively improve responsibility transitions. The role will also manage strategic programs with high urgency and visibility, enabling the team to continue to focus on our business objectives and will lead capital planning and cost management processes. Finally, they will provide thought leadership in multiple areas, such as setting key goals & priorities, creating a thriving team culture and health, and supporting talent up-skilling plans.Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Qualifications: Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 7+ years relevant experience OR 10+ years equivalent experience. 7+ years people management experience. 7+ years of work experience in c-level communications, with proven ability to drive change and create processes to improve delivery efficiencies. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications : 10+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects in a growing and rapidly changing environment Demonstrated success in generating energy, creating clarity, and delivering results inclusively to your diverse team and your broader organization Creative problem-solving & analytical skills to drive keen insights and identification of opportunities combined with a "sense of urgency" to develop solutions Previous experience in datacenter infrastructure management a big plus. Real Estate Portfolio Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. Sets market benchmark lease rates (including renewals) based on historical activity and market research by third party. Tracks actual costs against Capital Council approved funding Strategic Programs Manage critical programs for Lease Land and Development (LLD) as required engaging in programs with high urgency and fast delivery Takes control of high priority deliveries to ensure success managing executive relationships with key lessors, creating a team of focused project and cost managers to track and monitor key projects Executive Communications Communicates and provides direction and actionable insights on our overall performance, and escalate appropriately and promptly Attends all key executive meetings to ensure delivery of key messages Responsible for consistency across our Employee Communications - aligning key messages with other CO+I leaders Owns all executive communication for our group Creates c-suite relationships with key lessors to drive accountability for their delivery People Management This is a people management role that will deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
