A Day in the Life As the Senior Director of Organizing at UFCW 1518, you hold a pivotal role in advancing the union's mission through strategic planning, execution of organizing campaigns and fostering a culture of engagement and growth within the organization. Reporting to the Managing Director, Engagement & Growth, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring seamless coordination and alignment of efforts for the Organizing department. Here's a glimpse into your dynamic role: Here’s what you can expect to dig into in this exciting, hands-on role: Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor the Organizing Department in planning and executing external organizing campaigns, while providing support for internal organizing efforts, including: Union organizing drives Contract ratification campaigns Job action campaigns (i. e. strikes) Leadership development in disengaged units Develop and Implement strategies and systems to support and build a growing organizing department that is prepared to take on large organizing targets Work with the leadership team to develop an annual strategic growth plan, with defined targets and goals, and a plan.
