Senior Director, Children & Family Services Location: South Los Angeles, California Crystal Stairs, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join the senior leadership team, providing seasoned and compassionate leadership to take the organization to the next level. Building on over four decades of achievements, serving low-income families and challenging social inequities, the Senior Director of Children & Family Services (SDCFS) will oversee a significant portfolio of programs and related services, continuously innovating with an entrepreneurial spirit to meet the ever-changing demands of children and families in our communities. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the SDCFS will elevate the strategic vision and leadership of the agency; establish corporate objectives that will build the organization's infrastructure; create program solutions that will improve the lives of children and families, evaluate the effectiveness of programs; foster relationships that will enhance collaborative partnerships and help promote philanthropic engagement; and provide mentoring, guidance, supervision, and professional development to ensure high functioning team performance. Key Responsibilities, Oversight & Leadership Provide strategic leadership and innovative programming to meet the needs of children and families in alignment with program and organizational objectives, and agency mission. Oversee the coordination, integration, and delivery of all programs, contracts and related services; promoting collaborative relationships between program areas and ensuring that the expectations of funders, partners, clients, and other stakeholders are consistently met. Represent the organization with external partners in a collaborative and meaningful way to establish new and innovative program offerings and remain abreast of ECE trends, legislation and contracts. Provide support, guidance, mentorship and coaching to all programmatic staff and effectively communicate agency and program expectations. Work with program management to set and achieve annual budget goals; monitor and report on progress against these goals and analyze trends in order to make adjustments throughout the year while ensuring program objectives are met. Oversee the quality and compliance of services and provide regular monitoring of metrics/results of programs, ensuring integrity of data in internal tracking system, perform gap analysis, recommend and/or implement re-alignment of program workflow. Qualifications, Skills, Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work or related field with knowledge of child development birth to three. Master's Degree preferred. 5 years of experience at Manager or Senior-level leadership. 5 years of experience in early childhood education, family services, health services, disabilities, mental health or non-profit work. Skilled in reading, interpreting, and analyzing complex state and federal regulation, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate, both oral and written, to individuals with diverse backgrounds and relate to diverse groups of people including low-income families. Ability to speak, read and write English and must understand and be understood by others. Knowledge of organizational and management practices related to the evaluation of services, policies, and operational needs. Highly developed interpersonal skills using tact, intellect, patience and courtesy. Ability to organize and successfully meet daily objectives, foster a team atmosphere; and possess mediation, negotiation skills; and effective conflict resolution skills. Ability to coordinate and manage projects, work independently and follow through with project completion.
