Embedded Systems Software Engineer Secmation is looking for an experienced Embedded Systems Software Engineer who will be a key member of our product development team. The ideal candidate is a talented Embedded Software Engineer wanting to enter the exciting field of cybersecurity! This position is responsible for hands-on development of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), networking and robotics that incorporate advanced embedded and wireless cybersecurity technologies. These technologies will extend the state-of-the-art in cybersecurity and have both Commercial and Defense applications. We have multiple active projects covering topics such as security of industrial control systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), small satellites, and advanced manufacturing systems. Required Skills and Knowledge: B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent 3+ years of progressive work experience in embedded software development in systems programming, design, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting targeting ARM or similar architectures and various platforms Strong C/C++ programming skills Software engineering skills including software architecture and object-oriented development. Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and execute complex development tasks with limited supervision Good written and verbal communications skills adequate to prepare software documentation, participate in technical proposal development, and work with external customers What We Value: MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science Experience developing software and implementing computer network protocols Current or previous security clearance Additional Requirements: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance due to contractual requirements. Work Location and Position Type: . This is a full-time position located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Workdays and hours may vary based on project needs.
