We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join an existing Civil Engineering team. Our Client provides highway and drainage infrastructure support for projects primarily within the commercial, industrial, retail, education and residential sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible, under the leadership of an Associate Director, for the internal project management of medium to large scale projects and the engineering solutions for numerous schemes for clients across these sectors. The ability to operate as part of a wider project team and to represent the company with confidence to a variety of clients and outside organisations is expected. The candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative and to manage others, with high attention to detail. As such, there must be demonstrable technical ability and management experience on matters of estate infrastructure, roads and drainage design and detail; including obtaining technical approval of S38, S278 and S104 applications; flood risk backssments and drainage strategies. Good communication, report writing skills and thorough working capability with Auto CAD and Micro Drainage are essential; familiarity with design software such as PDS and Civil 3D is highly desirable and development of skills in these will be required and provided, if not already held. The candidate should be a Chartered Engineer with either the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers.
