Senior Civil Drafter / Designer

YOUR ROLE Senior Civil Drafter/Designer will draft civil engineering designs for roadways, site improvements, water and sewage mains, drainage, and land grading for commercial and residential building sites. Civil Designer ensures drawings and designs are completed on time and adhere to established specifications and standards. Civil Drafter/Designer Create conceptual plans and detailed, permit-ready drawings from verbal guidance. Ability to transcribe and accurately read "as-built" drawings, engineering, architectural, and shop drawings. Possesses excellent computer skills to work with multiple types of design software. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE You have an Associate's degree in drafting technology, computer-aided design or equivalent experience. You are building on 10+ years of successful design experience within Civil Engineering. You have strong technical skills and experience using either Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley Mircostation and other related programs. You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You develop cost-effective design layouts based on construction specifications and requirements. You adhere to established design guidelines and procedures. You maintain accurate design files for reference purposes. You manage design projects within allotted timelines and budgets. You perform design changes and improvements according to changing project demands. A BIT MORE INFORMATION This position is located in our Fargo office; however occasional travel to other locations and business conferences may be required on an occasional basis.
