Our expert solutions encompass an array of game-changing technologies, including state-of-the-art sonar, radar, expendables, signature management, and naval power systems.Join us in shaping the future of naval warfare and together, we will safeguard the seas and empower navies worldwide!The Ultra Supply Chain function manages the processes associated with Indirect and Direct Procurement of goods and materials required to meet the operational demands of the business and the logistics of ensuring that materials are available for operations, and the completed products/services are delivered to the customer.Nationality Requirements Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.Job DescriptionThe Procurement function in Ultra manages direct and indirect procurement needs ensuring robust processes exists to facilitate adherence to business requirements, to drive cost down Initiatives and to control the risks associated with a diverse supplier base. The team works with suppliers to negotiate the most cost effective and business appropriate agreements for the supply of key materials and services which will show continual performance improvements against defined KPIs.A professional at this grade possesses knowledge for specific fields and performs structured work assignments. Uses established procedures to solve problems by making judgments and gets work done with quality under moderate supervision. Has limited discretion to vary from established procedures.Job Description: Manages and executes procurement for assigned commodities or development projects. Places purchase orders or coordinate with commodity buyer Follows purchasing processes and FAR/DFAR guidelines. Directly participates as a member of the Development IPT. (Integrated Project Team) Engages supply chain in the new business win strategy. Leads the resolution of supplier related issues throughout the development cycle. Ensure cost / pricing data is available to support government (TINA / CAS) and customer cost audits. Locate, develop, negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers that meet companywide goals and objectives. Manages inventory levels. Evaluates supplier quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers and procurement strategy. Awards purchase orders and contracts and monitors adherence. Resolves invoice and receiving errors to ensure proper vendor payment. Supports engineering with material and vendor selection for new, current and revised products. Analyze and utilize Epicor ERP system for purchase order placement, return materials transactions, inventory levels, reporting and daily commodity review. Organize, prioritize and execute daily job responsibilities by working with all functions of the company including engineering, manufacturing, accounting, material group, quality and business development. Process and resolve NCMRs in the quality management system by coordination of vendor DMRs, RMAs and corrective actions. Compliance with EEO, ADA and all other applicable governmental requirements the company is required to be in compliance with. All staff are required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety by adhering to established safety policies and procedures, to not willfully place at risk the health or safety of any individual and to wear personal protective equipment as specified in work instructions.#MAR#LI-Onsite#LI-RP1Required Skills: Must be a US Persons or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related field. 8+ years of prior experience in a Supply Chain function within the defense industry required.Desired Skills: Candidate should be able to become proficient with Epicor ERP system within first 30 days of employment. Computer Skills: Strong skill level in Microsoft office products, email searches; prior experience with MRP or ERP materials software systems is required. Certificates and/or Licenses: CPSM, APICS, ASCM certifications is a plus.
