Responsibilities As an Application Engineer, you will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Development to help customers across a range of industries see how MathWorks products and services can address their needs. More specifically, you will:Provide technical pre-sales support: Work with prospective customers to understand their workflow and uncover their challenges. Prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations in customer meetings, seminars, and other public events. Conduct extended technical evaluations to promote large-scale adoption of MathWorks solutions and ensure our customers' success. Establish rapport and credibility with our customers from engineers to executives to build champions for our solutions. Collaborate with Sales: Assist the salesperson in understanding customer requirements and developing strategies for driving adoption of MathWorks solutions. Collaborate with Development and Marketing: Collect customers' feedback and share with Development to further improve products. Uncover insights from customer engagements to help Marketing identify industry trends and new application areas. Qualifications Required: Experience with (and enthusiasm for!) MATLAB and Simulink is essential; experience with a broad set of MathWorks products is a plus Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both group and individual settings Excellent presentation skills (or a strong motivation to learn them) Highly motivated to work directly with customers to help them understand how MathWorks products are used to solve their engineering and business problems Desire to learn new application areas as needed Pluses: Experience with Wireless Communications Experience withFPGAs, ASICs, or SoCs Salary range of $135,500 to $210,000 (inclusive of target commission for staff in eligible roles). In addition, MathWorks offers benefits and a quarterly bonus program. Individual compensation is determined by a candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Required Qualifications Experience with MATLAB Experience with Simulink A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
