Description:
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work directly with our clients and will work together with others at GVZ to provide exceptional client service. Responsibilities: · Preparation and/or review of income tax returns for businesses (mostly 1065/1120S) and individuals · Perform tax research and document conclusions as necessary · Provide proactive communication and timely service to our clients · Stay up to date on tax laws and compliance requirements · Organize tax workpapers in a paperless environment · Prepare responses to tax notices and/or examinations · Collect information from clients for preparation of tax returns, may include in-person or virtual meetings with clients · Assist with tax planning and projection projects as assigned The ideal candidate will have: · 3+ years of experience in public accounting · CPA license or ability to obtain CPA license · Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent · Experience with QuickBooks or other similar accounting software products is a plus · Strong organizational skills and ability to proactively communicate with others · Sense of initiative and willingness to learn and improve processes
