We are looking for a lead accountant to join our team in our Grand Rapids HQ! Responsibilities: General ledger account reconciliations, creating and reviewing payroll schedules, information systems analysis, and preparing property tax returns. Preparing reports for management as needed. identifying needs/goals, budgeting, bank reconciliations, general journal entries, accounts payable coding. Assisting with month-end and year end reporting and processes. Maintaining fixed assets in conjunction with our CPAs. Qualifications: Must have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, along with a strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and the ability to work both independently and in teams. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of other Microsoft Suite products and have knowledge of GAAP principles and AR/AP experience. Ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of corporate filing requirements with previous experience in payroll, sales and use tax reporting, financial reporting, and budgeting along with experience/knowledge of information systems. Sage, OnBase or eoStar experience is a bonus! Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or business with relevant experience. Excellent written and verbal communications. Ability to handle information confidentially. 2+ years of public accounting or 5+ years industry experience Compensation and Benefits: Total Compensation Range: $70,000 - $85,000 Family and Locally Owned Company Amazing Benefits.
