As we continue to GROW, we are searching for a dedicated, experienced and motivated Senior Accountant with specialized knowledge in assurance to join our Las Vegas (preferred) or Reno office. This position offers a hybrid schedule between in-office and remote work each week. Role Overview: The Senior Accountant assigned to assurance engagements will be responsible for coordinating, both independently and inclusive of supporting staff, the day-to-day "in-charge” duties of planning, fieldwork, review of Staff Accountant-level work, as necessary, and "wrap-up" to include preparing assurance reports with disclosures, applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other accounting frameworks, as necessary, and documenting, validating, testing, and assessing various internal control systems. The Senior Accountant will be the primary client contact for assigned assurance engagements, and will also be responsible for the training, advising, and directing of Staff Accountants, as needed, to meet client and self-development expectations. KEY SUCCESS FACTORS Ability to learn and apply intermediate-level technical skills. Demonstrates the ability to effectively coordinate engagement teams. Demonstrates the ability to develop effective, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues. Behaves as a role model exuding HRC’s mission, values, and vision. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Demonstrates the ability to retain and apply intermediate-level technical skills, with a developing mastery of complex areas. Demonstrates the ability to successfully train and mentor Staff Accountants. Ensures consistent quality and timeliness of work output. Ensures successful coordination of engagement team efforts. Meets engagement objectives (e.g., timeframes, budgets, outcomes, etc.). Ensures client satisfaction. Participates in HRC initiatives and serves as a role model for Staff Accountants. Participates in recruiting and client retention activities. Promotes HRC’s mission, values, and vision.
