SECURITY OFFICER- HOA COMMUNITY SOUTHEAST WALTON COUNTY Currently seeking experienced (preferred) security officer to join our team. Responsibilities include effective patrol of residential areas including streets, foot paths, private beach pavilions and beach areas. Officers must promote safety and security, enforce HOA rules and regulations, deter misconduct, and safeguard property. Officers will provide protection, assistance, information and miscellaneous services to the homeowners, guests and visitors using good communication skills. Duties include but not limited to: Responding to emergency calls, utility issues (e.g. water leaks, power outage) safety violations or hazards, accidents, loitering or trespassing, security related deficiencies (e.g. unsecured doors/windows, alarms, inoperative lighting, etc), theft or other crimes against persons, intoxicated persons, enforcement of parking rules, golf cart rules. Generating incident reports for significant events requiring documentation. Requirements: Security Officers must be willing to work any assigned shifts that include day, evening and night shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be able and willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Officers must be physically capable of walking and standing for prolonged periods of time. High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver s License Must pass a drug screening and background check Provide references for the last 5 years Employment experience for the last 5 years Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English Basic computer skills Exhibit good judgement in performance of duties Exhibit friendly and positive demeanor Succesfully complete all required training Compensation: This is a full time position with PTO (paid time off) and excellent benefits. Wages are hourly and based on experience. There is a 90 day probation period for retention. PTO accrues upon starting date but cannot be used until 90 days after probation period is successfully completed.
