Title: Security Guard Department: Guest Experience Reports to: Sr. Director of Guest Experience and Security Primary job location: SAP Center at San Jose & Tech CU Arena FLSA a nd FTE status: Non-exempt and part-time Salary range or grade: $20.15/hour (SEIU Local 1877- Salary Schedule) Date created: June 2022 Position Summary : The Security Team is responsible for the physical security of the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are looking for a professional individual to provide guests and employees a safe, secure, and friendly environment to work and enjoy. Shift Information: Shift lengths vary depending on business needs and can be up to 8 hours any day and time of the week including weekends and holidays. Essential Functions : Continuously control building access, guarding against unauthorized entry and activities. Monitor video surveillance regularly. Regularly maintain various registers/security logs. Regularly patrol facility by constant walking and climbing stairs. Identify and correct safety/security issues while escalating issues as needed to Security Supervisor. Work collaboratively with San Jose Emergency Services as needed. Required Qualifications : At this time, all SSE employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to working onsite at any SSE facility, unless the individuals is able to telework or is otherwise eligible for an exemption in accordance with applicable law. If on-site services are required, SSE will require you to certify your vaccination status as part of the onboarding process.
