Summary: We are looking for a SASE Engineer who can design, implement, and maintain our SASE architecture, which combines network security and wide area networking (WAN) capabilities into a single cloud-based service. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking, security principles, and cloud technologies, with experience in deploying and managing SASE solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable network access solutions. This is for a short term / hourly based project. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture to provide secure and scalable network access for remote users and branch offices. Evaluate and select SASE technologies and vendors to meet business requirements and security objectives. Configure and optimize SASE components, including secure web gateways (SWG), cloud access security brokers (CASB), zero trust network access (ZTNA), and software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN). Develop and implement security policies and controls to protect network traffic and data in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor and analyze network traffic for security threats and anomalies, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SASE solutions with existing network infrastructure, security tools, and identity management systems. Provide technical expertise and support for SASE-related projects, initiatives, and migrations. Conduct risk assessments and security audits of SASE infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures. Document SASE configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes. Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in network security, cloud computing, and SASE. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, security engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and routing protocols. Experience with cloud computing platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption, and authentication. Hands-on experience with SASE solutions and technologies, such as Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, or Cisco Umbrella. Familiarity with zero trust security models and principles, including least privilege access and micro-segmentation. Certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, or vendor-specific SASE certifications are preferred.
