We'll provide the mentorship and tools to hone your skills, and you'll get to unplug, explore nature, play outdoors and find a place where you belong. Since 1954, Tumbleweed Day Camp has been an essential part of growing up in Los Angeles and the best place for kids to unplug, explore nature and play outdoors. We build happy people through exceptional camp experiences that serve over 1500 campers each year. Our camp programs create a community of true belonging encompassing our campers, their families, and our staff, in which all of us learn and grow together each day of camp and beyond. What You'll Do Every Day at Camp Build happiness in campers from PreK through 8th grade through exceptional camp experiences Create a welcoming, safe environment where kids can connect with their community, master new skills and be their best selves Teach dozens of activities in which campers unplug from technology, explore nature and play . Collaborate with your coworkers to strengthen each other's skills and techniques. Learn and grow in leadership and interpersonal skills that you'll apply to your future career. All positions are temporary, seasonal, full time during the camp season. Expect to work from approximately 8 am through 5 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide all training and certifications needed for the job. Camp Counselors must be at least 19 years old; Assistant Counselors are 16-18 years old. Both positions use this same application. As a day camp, we do not provide housing, meals or transportation.
