The Eden Resort & Suites Host will be the first point of contact for our guests, welcoming them with a warm and friendly demeanor. Must be at least 16 years of age. Responsibilities:• Greet incoming and departing guests warmly, escort them to assigned dining area, present menus, announce waiter’s name.• Use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference.• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.• Tend to special guest needs and requests.• Manage the seating chart• Put guests on waitlists and manage the list.• Receive takeout order and use the POS.• Assist dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, serving beverages.• Various side work.• Issue dining charges, verify orders, calculate taxes, total bills for to-go orders.• Receive payments by validating cred charges, approve checks, accept currency.• Reconcile cash drawer, prove cash transactions, list checks and credit card charges for to-go orders.• Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: ESSENTIAL SKILLS: • Upbeat and outgoing individual.• Able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.• Able to work positively in a fast-paced environment.• Strong team work skills.• Customer service orientated ensures each guest has an excellent experience. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • At least one (1) year of restaurant experience, is preferred.
