As Utah's premier metal recycling center, our experience is second to none; and over the years we have worked with thousands of customers, from local residents with a few pounds of cans to large companies with truckloads of scrap material. Basic Job Duties: Greets and helps unload non-ferrous customers Identifies and sorts different types of materials Must be courteous and patient with employees and customers Helps with housekeeping during down times Must be willing to fill at other tasks when needed and performing only those jobs on which they have been trained Will be out in the different weather conditions Responsible for observing and following all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment Ability to work a rotating schedule of Monday through Saturday Minimum Qualifications: Ability to provide quality customer service 1 year of customer service experience required Excellent interpersonal skills Able to work in the heat of the summer and cold of the winter Must be able to stand for long periods of time Good attendance and punctuality is a must Ability to provide quality customer service Effective written communication skills and ability to complete paperwork promptly Analytical and problem solving skills Understand computer basics Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch.
