Special Education Paraprofessionals Flexible Schedule Easily Apply Hiring Multiple Candidates Full time We are looking for a variety of Special Education Paraprofessionals across Minnesota. Zen Educate is looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to the lives of children in special education. Special Education Paraprofessionals will support licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care and social/behavioral needs. Key Duties: Assisting licensed staff in the classroom Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP) Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning Works with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented by mainstream teachers and/or special education teachers Provides support for students in crisis Maintaining a safe learning environment Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the students’ learning experiences and support them as needed Minimum Requirements: Associates Degree or Para Pro Assessment Preferred Requirements: Special Education Teaching License (especially from MN) Bachelor’s Degree or higher Para Pro Certification or similar Past work experience in a school with children with special needs Ability to obtain PCA certification from the Department of Human Services Additional Requirements: Additional requirements include US Work Authorization. Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time. Applicants must have proficiency in English Pay: Paraprofessional pay will reflect qualifications and experience level. Weekly pay Schedule: Monday to Friday No weekends 8 hour shift Who we are: Teacher shortages have been a re-occurring issue within the United States education system.
