Mental Health Director, Montefiore School Health Program Montefiore School Health Program (MSHP), the largest and most comprehensive school health program in the country, is seeking a dynamic Mental Health Director to join our interdisciplinary leadership team. The position is full-time with both administrative and clinical responsibilities. MSHP currently operates 34 health centers located in schools of the Bronx and Yonkers. In addition to mental care, the health centers offer medical, dental, vision and community health services to more than 42,000 students attending NYC Department of Education public schools. . The Director of Mental Health oversees mental health services delivered at all MSHP Health Centers, including both Article 28 and Article 31 sites. Responsibilities include strategic planning; program design and development; staff supervision, support, and development; administration; and communication with internal and external stakeholders. The Director develops, documents, implements, and supervises service models that align with best-practice care in mental health for children and adolescents, are sensitive to the whole-child philosophy of the School Health Program, and are compliant with oversight regulations. The mental health team includes 2 assistant directors and multiple psychologists and social workers. Required Qualifications and Competencies: Licensed psychologist (PhD/PsyD) Three-plus years of supervisory experience Personnel management and development Additional Qualifications: Supervisory experience in a psychiatric, ambulatory care, public health and/or school health setting Evidence-based practices (EBP) training and child/adolescent service delivery Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills, results oriented, team player Commitment to the mission, vision and values of MSHP Advanced computer and EMR skills, EPIC preferred Language proficiency in Spanish an advantage Department: School Health Program Bargaining Unit: Non Union Campus: MMG Employment Status: Regular Full-Time Address: 3380 Reservoir Oval, Bronx Shift: Day Scheduled Hours: 8 AM-5 PM Req ID: 161278 Montefiore is an equal employment opportunity employer.
