Plaquemines Parish School Board is accepting applications for the following position: School Counselor Location: Plaquemines Parish Learning Center Job Goad: To support the academic and social-emotional needs of students, to implement school counseling curriculum; to provide response services and recommendations to students and families; to assist in the development of individualized plans and/or goals for each student; to embody, advocate, and operationalize the mission, vision, and direction of the school. Qualifications: Masters Degree in counseling from an accredited college or university approved by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Program (CACREP); If the candidate completed a counseling program in another concentration other than in school counseling, six credit hours of school counseling courses from a CACREP-accredited program must be completed. Complete the required practicum of 100 contact hours and internship of 600 contact hours in a school setting from a CACREP-accredited program. Valid Louisiana Ancillary Certificate
