WE ARE HIRING JOIN OUR TEAM The Georgetown Public Works Department is now accepting applications for Sanitation Worker/ Solid Waste General Laborer I Position Overview: Collects and disposes of residential and commercial garbage and solid waste. Assists with maintaining Sanitation and Public Works equipment and vehicles. Reports to the Public Works Supervisor/Waste Management Crew Leader . Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of heavy machines and equipment and exert force to push, lift, reach, carry, stoop, pull, kneel, climb, crouch, crawl, or otherwise move objects. Work involves walking and standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift/carry weights of up to 100 pounds Qualifications and Requirements: High School Diploma and a minimum of three (3) months experience in a job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
