Sales Manager Northumberland To GBP50k neg dep exp + commission + benefits Our client has been established for more than three decades and specialise in the supply of services, systems and solutions allied to the aviation industry, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2024 and beyond, are now seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to complement their professional sales team. Based in the North East of England (Northumberland area) and supplying to customers in more than 50 countries throughout the world, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities from the companys expansive product portfolio that can be used by both existing and new clients in their airports or operations environments. You will primarily be focussing on UK customers to identify specific Air Traffic Control systems needs, although there will be occasions to travel internationally as required (although most communication will be and telephone until commercial agreements are being finalised) and you will handle all of the logistics related to the sales opportunity from a stock of standard documents and prices, and where solutions are more complex, you will have the support of the team of experts and consultants to provide estimates, prices, documentation and guidance in order to ensure the best selection of product. Acting as the interface between the customer and the technical team, as Sales Manager you will be required to work flexibly and at times unsociable hours, spending most of your time listening and talking to customers either on the phone or in person before visiting, with this generally determined by the size/value of the opportunity. It is imperative that the Sales Manager seeks to better understand our customer needs by building relationships where both parties can trust each other and as the nature of the ATC sector is a highly competitive environment in.
