Sales Manager Travel Required! DC/Maryland Our Sales Manager will be responsible for developing effective sales strategies and implementing strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve company goals and objectives. In addition, our Sales Director will be responsible for meeting with customers and assisting our sales team with managing relationships, goals, and overall performance , as well as hiring and training team members, setting quotas, evaluating and adjusting performance, and developing processes that drive sales . Your role in caring for our company: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Understand and own every aspect of the company's sales performance; set targets, drive execution, and hold the team accountable for both individual and team results Select, implement, and manage CRM, including daily data entry, reporting, and data analysis on daily/weekly basis; share information with C-suite as necessary Develop key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans; execute successfully and measure success Functional experience in roles supporting both sales/acquisitions of new customers and service/support of existing customers Effectively communicate our value proposition through proposals and presentations Support clients with inventory and related assets including discount pricing plans Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts Keep menus up to date and distribute to clients Partner with Marketing on regional communications and customer outreach efforts across platforms such as email, social media, point of purchase Invite every encounter as an opportunity to promote the brand mission and serve as a solution provider to partners Effectively manage conflicting priorities and tasks using strong time management skills Develop and implement annual department budget with COO and Sr Financial Accountant Offer a customer oriented approach rooted in passion for benefitting peoples' lives through cannabis. Maintain a working knowledge of the competition, demonstrate a working knowledge of internal operations, and maintain awareness and application of all current sales techniques and practices. Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies Addresses low performance quickly, compassionately, and in alignment with company policies. Collaborates effectively with Human Resources and appropriate partners Retains and develops top performers by understanding individuals motivations and providing actionable feedback. Other duties as necessary Qualifications we ask you to have: For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age. You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check. BA/BS degree or equivalent We ask that you have at least ten (10) years previous sales experience, with at least three (3) years previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services Proven ability to position products against competitors Addition skills which will help you excel in your role: Takes full ownership of personal development, regularly soliciting feedback from teammates including those supervising, colleagues, and supervisor/s. Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Comprehensive knowledge of industry and industry-related trends and forecasts. A passion for the cannabis culture. Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level. Creative quick thinking to serve as a problem solver with a positive outlook. Team player, though also independent and self motivated. Performance driven to exceed sales goals. Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure. Ability to travel throughout MD and DC states in order to conduct business.
