DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen is currently hiring for a full-time Sales / Design Associate to work with our clients on their remodeling needs in the Springfield, IL area. DAY-TO-DAY This salesperson / design position works 40 hours a week Monday - Friday, with weekends off . As a Sales / Design Associate , you are responsible for walking the client through the entire process for their home improvement ideas. You love interacting with people and can establish a rapport easily. Providing fantastic client experience, you listen carefully to discover how to best meet their needs. Traveling to our client's homes, you take "before" pictures, calculate field measurements and evaluate their needs and wants. Using this information, you design a plan for each project. Once the plan is ready, you help each client with product selection and provide a detailed contract including details of the project. You are in constant contact with each client throughout the entire construction process, addressing and resolving any issues that arise. Though you love interacting with people, you are also organized and goal-oriented. You forecast sales and carefully plan out your month, quarter, and year in order to regularly achieve personal and team goals. With attention to detail, you keep track of all interactions with clients in our system and calendar. You schedule all needed pre-construction walk-throughs and make sure the job site checklist is complete. Working as a team is critical to our success. You attend regular staff meetings to ensure that individual and company goals are being met and discuss ways on how to improve and grow. You work hard to foster great relationships with our existing client as well as create new clients through referrals. You enjoy helping our clients bring their home improvement ideas to life! REQUIREMENTS FOR A SALES / DESIGN ASSOCIATE Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field or equivalent work experience 5+ years in a related field or position 3+ years in sales 2+ years of design experience Experience working with residential trade contractors Understanding of construction basics Basic computer skills in MS Office applications Design software experience with Pro-Kitchen, 20/20, or equivalent Experience with residential interior remodeling or the kitchen and bath industry is preferred but not required.
