Safety & Security Manager Be a part of our rapidly expanding startup team by taking on the role of Safety and Security Manager at GLOVIS EV Logistics America LLC. In this pivotal position, you will collaborate closely with our management team to oversee the implementation of safety and security policies, procedures, and programs and facilities management . We are in search of an energetic professional with excellent interpersonal abilities, a comprehensive grasp of safety and security practices, and a dedication to enhancing the overall success of the organization. The position is an onsite position, working Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch. Department: Human Resources Reports to: Head of Human Resources Safety & Security Manager Key Responsibilities : Ensure compliance with construction, safety, security, and maintenance requirements, adhering to local regulations. Develop and maintain health and safety management systems, training programs, and procedures in line with current legislation. Conduct monthly safety inspections. Design and update health and safety procedures, providing technical support to employees. Coordinate risk assessment activities and develop data-driven strategies to reduce accidents. Investigate accidents, manage documentation for insurance claims, and liaise with relevant organizations. Deliver safety training programs, ensuring all employees receive proper training. Represent the company at safety meetings. Maintain accurate records of safety and security incidents. Coordinate with construction companies for record-keeping and oversee tasks. Develop and implement safety policies for construction sites and building maintenance. Collaborate with law enforcement to address accidents and investigate security incidents. Work with operational teams to improve the working environment and recommend safety features. Understand and ensure compliance with security requirements, local regulations, and logistics-related security. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct hazards. Manage documentation for material handling equipment. Provide oversight of facilities management. Stay updated on security, facilities management, and safety best practices, technologies, and trends. Perform o ther duties as assigned. Qualifications for Safety and Security Manager : Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred (Architecture, Construction related , Occupational Health and Safety) or equivalent combination of experience and education. Minimum 5 years construction and/or occupational safety experience preferred . Minimum of 3 years management experience. . Extensive knowledge of OSHA 30 and OSHA 100 . OSHA 30 and OSHA 100 certified a plus. . OSHA 10 hour or Basic Knowledge of Plant Safety and Current First Aid/CPR First Responder Training desired. Knowledge of machinery and equipment used in maintenance, warehousing, and on construction sites. Must have experience in risk management, personnel protective equipment, construction safety, injury and incident investigation, reporting, auditing, and training for construction operations. PC literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products. Must be detail oriented , excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Able to work and be flexible and available for on-call hours before and/or after normal business hours in addition to off-shift hours. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift and transport items , bend, stoop, and pull . This position is eligible for the Glovis leased vehicle program. The estimated base salary range for the Safety & Security Manager is $ 100 ,000-$ 110 ,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
