We are proud of our history of building aircraft tires from start to finish - serving the U.S. Military, general aviation, and commercial airline customers in the U.S. and globally!The Site Safety and Environmental Manager leads the Safety/Environmental and Security Department and provides expertise to the facility in the areas of safety, regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, security, fire protection, emergency response, ergonomics and community relations regarding EHS regulatory a member of the Plant Staff Management Team, you will set the example for engagement through daily coaching in the shops and active support and treatment of problems.What You Will Do:- Carry out regular assessments of the risks at the site, and coordinates prevention plans. This includes the domains of Environment, PSM, Safety, Security, Fire, Industrial Hygiene, Mechanical Integrity, Ergonomics, Risk prevention and Health.- Establish and maintains the Environmental Health & Safety management system and animate the EHS Management Review, under the responsibility of the Corporate Facilities Manager.- Organize the various audits and diagnostics, and leads action plans which result from them.- For all site projects, ensure that the EHS component is validated at each landmark.- Assure all regulatory and internal requirements are reviewed and when changes are applicable, draft the instructions for the site, derived from Group (France) and Time Zone Americasreferentials, and controls their implementation.- Lead all EHS regulatory aspects on the site. Assures all reporting is accurate and correct. Lead relations with outside agencies and with EHS topics.- Provide and carry out EHS awareness and training programs for site personnel.- Lead the EHS team and indicators for the site, ensure the quality of the data, and communicate information and significant events to the appropriate levels.- If an EHS major event occurs, conduct protective and restart operations, determine root cause and implement suitable solutions.- In case of a serious EHS event, run the crisis team.- Participate in local and/or State community and governmental groups to support facility initiatives.- Coordinate all legal and regulatory responses for EHS matters with the appropriate internal or external legal representatives and external communications regarding EHS matters with NA/Communications group.- Coordinate external government relations regarding EHS and business development with the site manager and NA/government relations group as assigned.- Champion medical case management team to work with nurse for occupational injuries.What You Will Bring:- A BA/BS in Occupational Safety or equivalent.- A minimum of 5 years management experience; experience in a safety or related function in an industrial manufacturing plant environment.- An ASP/CSP or equivalent certifications would be a plus- A solid understanding of Environmental Management- 5+ years of successful leadership experience in team based environment#LI-HIRINGMICHELIN#LI-TN1Inspire Motion for Life: Apply Today!As the leading mobility company, we work with tires, around tires and beyond tires to enable Motion for Life.
