Safety Advisor The Safety Advisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the policies, procedures and practices outlined in the Rohit Safety Management Program. Through guidance and leadership, the Safety Advisor will work with staff and contractors to achieve and maintain health and safety objectives. What we look for? Completion of a recognized health and safety program. Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) accreditation. Certified in: Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS); Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS); and Standard First Aid (SFA). Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation and procedures. Knowledge of residential construction activities and processes. Must be able to travel periodically and work weekends if required. Excellent verbal written communication skills coupled with interpersonal and customer service skills. A keen eye for detail, exemplary organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to coach, mentor, and lead workers, contractors, and clients through training and/or conversations relating to safe work procedures. Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment. Desire for continuing education and personal development. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
