Strong boundaries, creative thinking, excellent time management, high-level organization, a positive outlook, and strengths-based approach are necessary for success.This is a yearly grant funded position designed to increase the accessibility, intensity, and efficacy of mental health services for adults and families who are involved in the child welfare system and are residents of rural communities in Western Jefferson County, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties. This position will provide individual therapy to consumers ages 4-21 and their families. This position will be located in the mountain areas of Western Jefferson County, Gilpin, and Clear Creek County. This position is a combination of Telehealth and in person services based on the needs of the center. This is subject to change due to COVID19 circumstances. Essential Duties: Effectively engages consumer in the treatment process and goal-setting. Works constructively with consumer to meet agreed upon goals and objectives. Goals and objectives will be related to addressing parent or guardian trauma histories. Coordinate care with internal and external providers. Outreach consumers and effectively engage consumers in therapeutic services. Exhibits effective assessment and diagnostic skills with clients and demonstrates ability to identify risk factors including lethality. Identifies need to link consumer with medication evaluation when necessary. Effectively plans for sessions in order to maintain consumer engagement utilizing model specific intervention. Works to increase and maintain client self-sufficiency by increasing client's adaptive level of functioning and use of community and natural supports. Maintains appropriate professional standards and provides appropriate follow-up for consumers. Exhibit very strong communication with treatment teams involved in a case. Works collaboratively with treatment teams to address barriers to treatment. Maintains appropriate treatment documentation. Attend and effectively participate in meetings to advocate for the needs of consumers. These may include court hearings, team decision making, family engagement, or school meetings. Must have strong understanding of professional boundaries in these settings. Will work effectively and collaboratively with Adolescent Trauma Systems Therapy treatment team. Referrals will be made to appropriate community providers after episode of care is complete. Complies with all corporate compliance and HIPAA standards, including submitting paperwork on time and meeting Jefferson Center's productivity standards. Participates in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Reports high risk/problem cases, and utilizes a problem solving approach as well as feedback. Attends supervision at times and intervals agreed upon with supervisor. Attends all team meetings as scheduled. Attends mandatory in-services, compliance with individualized training plan if required. Completes all on-line trainings by the due date. Exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment. Maintains effective interpersonal relations with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors and the general public. Effectively responds to client/consumer needs and problems, initiates and maintains positive interactions, timely response to phone calls, pages, email and other requests. Works cooperatively with other community agencies, as appropriate, and in agreement with supervisor. Volunteers to work on Center committees and/or task forces. Participates in staff development activities to enhance professional growth. Reliable transportation required. Understanding of the specific needs of rural communities. Must complete all required data tracking as required by grant. This includes data from the CPSS (Child PTSD Symptom Scale) and PCOMS (Partners for Change Outcome Management Systems) Understands how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that every interaction is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of re-traumatization. Must be able to provide evening sessions four evenings per week. Work with consumers will regularly take place in the community or in the consumer's home. NOTE: Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job. Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: A conferred Master's Degree from an accredited university/college in related field, required LCSW, LPC, LMFT or comparable license, or license eligible, plus two or more year's related experience and/or training preferred. Ability to conduct a structured intake interview and make appropriate diagnoses. CAC II or III preferred. Experience providing mental health treatment and substance abuse treatment to this population including proficient use of Motivational Interviewing. Experience providing in community or in-home therapy preferred. Bilingual preferred. Must have own personal reliable transportation. Motor Vehicle Insurance Coverage requires applicant must be 25 years or older. Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving record as determine by our insurance carrier. An MVR will be pulled along with a background check. Salary Grade 51 -Master's Unlicensed Clinician $47,600 to $60,400.* Salary Grade 52 - (Licensed Clinician LCSW, LMFT, LPC) $57,000 to $72,700.* Additional Salary Information*: All salaries at Jefferson Center are calculated based on years of total relevant experience.* The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.* **BONUS OPPORTUNITY!!
