Rubber Seal Layup Operator

SUMMARY The rubber press operator will ensure machinery is operating to optimal standards ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up, operate and tend machinery used for mixing, calendaring, extruding, moldings and curing rubber materials or rubber products Load or feed rubber, pigments, filler, oil and chemicals into machines Check and monitor processing conditions and product quality Adjust machines to proper setting as required Train or assist in training new workers. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required Have knowledge of ISO and Aerospace standards - preferred but not required QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to airborne particles.
