This position provides technical support in the production of rubber to reduce and eliminate process variation. Responsibilities include management of existing mixed compound portfolio and corresponding test data, modifications of mixed stocks to meet customer requirements, and evaluation of raw materials for equivalent use or quality concerns. This position also requires the individual to develop test procedures, tooling, and programs to support quality inspections of existing or new products. What you'll do Matches existing stocks or makes modifications to meet customer requirements Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary Analyzing and summarizing lab test results to ensure conformance to existing specifications Supports manufacturing in trouble-shooting production problems Interfaces with raw material suppliers and evaluates equivalent materials Ability to manage multiple projects at once Secondary Accountabilities In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.
