Description:

General Description: The Roof Technician is responsible for performing roof inspections and repairs for both steep slope (shingles, tile, metal) and low slope (TPO, EPDM, BUR) roof systems. Additionally, the Roof Technician must have excellent customer service skills and work well with a Team and independently. Duties: Perform field inspections and develop a scope of work to maximize the life expectancy of every major roof type. Perform all roof repairs, combining safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and all while maintaining the budget. Build/develop relationships with new and existing customers through excellent service and communication. Complete van and equipment inventory and report to supervisor weekly. Provide written labor/material estimates to supervisor when necessary. Communicating and coordinating with the office staff on all ongoing project and leak repairs. Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of installation/details on Shingles/tile, EPDM, TPO, Built up and Modified roofing systems. Ability to identify and correct deficiencies to industry standards. Roofing leak investigation and repairs experience. Excellent customer service. Ability to follow detailed project related instructions from office staff. Ability to work well with others and independently. Must work a standard M-F shift of 7am-4pm, plus be available on call 24/7 for emergencies. A good driving record and valid license. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Demands: Able to lift materials and equipment, work from heights, and be outside in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to work in all-weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. Be able to drive for long periods of time. Ability to work more than 40 hours a week when required. Experience: 2 years experience in the roofing industry to include sloped and flat roof applications. Experience in re-roofing of occupied properties preferred.
