Roller Technician

Description:
The Rebuild Technician is responsible for production roller and die reconditioning. The Technician must disassemble, inspect, and clean up roller parts, identify faulty parts for repair or replacement, and reassemble rollers to specifications. The Technician must also Inspect, clean, punch, grind, chamfer pellet dies, and maintain machines used in reconditioning processes. Tasks Perform daily assigned shop production work Measure tolerances using a dial indicator or caliper Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment Execute preventative maintenance program Maintain inventory of spare parts Assist in the installation of new equipment, and relocation of existing equipment Perform maintenance on buildings and facility infrastructure Assist in fabricating and maintaining production fixtures and tools Operate forklift in tight spaces, moving jobs in shop and loading / unloading trucks Maintain the highest quality of workmanship Require minimal supervision Accept/perform other responsibilities/duties as assigned by immediate supervisor Must arrive at work promptly and predictably Required qualifications Mechanical aptitude, basic quality control. Practical experience in carpentry, welding, machining is helpful.
