The primary function of the Operating Room Staff Nurse is that of a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability through the nursing process, for the surgical care of the patient and significant others in collaboration with other health care providers. Job Requirements: Education - High School Diploma or EGD certification.Graduate of accredited school of nursingRN with active license in appropriate stateCPR certificationEvidence of leadership qualities.Strong ethical and moral character references.Language skills adequate for high level written, interpersonal and telephone communication in American EnglishPreferred: ACLS/PALS certification required.
