Structured thematically rather than by religious tradition, this course covers topics such as the creative word, visual representation of the divine through icons and iconography, sacred space and religious architecture, religion and the book arts, religious music, dance, and drama, visual narrativization, and religious ritual as performance. Estimated Course Enrollment : 75 Estimated TA Support : 100 Class Schedule : Wednesday, 1-3 Hours of Work: Wednesday, 4-6 Sessional Dates of Appointment : January 1, 2024 - April 30, 2024 Salary : $52.26 per hour Please note that should rates stipulated in the Collective Agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Qualifications : Applicants should have a completed Ph D or (for non- U. of T. graduate students) equivalent, with major field in the relevant topic area. Description of Duties : Duties may include the teaching of small tutorial sections, marking of assignments, holding scheduled office hours and invigilation of exams; other duties as determined by the supervisor.
