About Ian's Pizza On Halloween of 2001, we opened our first shop in Madison, WI. Mac n' cheese pizza was basically unheard of back then (sources not cited), and we were blasting Emo tunes like the angsty young'uns we were. But it's 2023, and our little restaurant franchise is all grown up now! We now have 9 shops total between Madison, Milwaukee, Denver, and Seattle. Pies are flying out of our ovens for lunch crowds, dinner rushes, and late-night munchies. We prioritize our people and communities, recognizing that without them, we're nothing! Supervisor Position You'll oversee a specific department or area of operations (Front of House or Kitchen), and assist the managers in ensuring the tools and procedures are in place and used by all department staff for successful operations. The training of general staff in your department will also be a large part of your role! You will attend all staff, team, and manager meetings unless adequate notice is given. You will be expected to provide input on staffing, staff performance, scheduling, and reviews. We use Google Docs, Calendar, Drive, etc so you'll need to learn these tools and use 'em! Here's what you need to be a success as a Supervisor at Ian's... Experience as a supervisor or Shift Leader in the restaurant/food industry. Embrace and embody Ian's Standards for Customer Service and Food Quality. Keep busy even when no one is watching to get the job done. Practice generosity and bring positive energy. Motivate others and practice good judgement and problem-solving. Keep organized and set priorities. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to bend, crouch, and lift up to 20-50 lbs. Ability to use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business. Cross-trained and regularly able to perform all positions below the Supervisor (Front of House, Cook, Shift Lead) within 6 months of being placed in position. Must complete a food safety certification course within 4 months of being placed in position. English language proficiency required for this position. Must be 18+ to apply. Scheduling This position is hourly with the expectation to work 35-40 hours per week: 30-35 hours in Operations and 5-10 hours towards Administrative work. Some weeks may have you in the restaurant more, where others have you spending more time on administrative tasks. 9-5 is a Dolly Parton song, not a job at Ian's Pizza. We expect supervisors to have availability for Late Night shifts once a week as well as availability for rotating weekends. Note, opening shifts typically start 1-2 hours before opening time, and closing shifts typically end 1-2 hours after closing time. As a leader in the restaurant, you will work with the leadership team to be available for emergencies and help find coverage or cover shifts in your department as needed. Wages and Other Benefits The starting hourly pay for this position is $16.50/hour. You will also get tips on your operational shifts which average an additional $$4-$8/hour and are also eligible for the annual profit sharing bonus. Amazing tips, for real. Flexible schedules.
